Parish VE Day Celebrations

8th May 2025 marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day.It was an opportunity for the nation to come together to honour and pay tribute to the Second World War generation from across the UK and Commonwealth, through a series of national and local events and activities.

Around the parish, signs and bunting were put up to mark the occasion. A tea party was organised by the Parish Council, arranged for Walton residents in the church community hall. The event was well attended. As one resident commented “it was a lovely occasion, the food was excellent and the hall looked lovely.” Thanks to those who attended and helped organise the party.
